Wholesale Information and Policy

This listing applies to items that are being sought out for retail purposes. If you are an individual looking to place a custom order for yourself, or an event coordinator seeking party favors or decor that will not be resold, see this page. If you’re in the right place, please read and understand this entire policy before placing your order.

Currently accepting!

At this time, I am accepting bulk custom designs, gadgets, magnets, buttons, incense trays, brooch pins, pendants, simple sculptures, and vessels.

I primarily use wheel thrown and hand built techniques, with mid-fire materials including: brooklyn red stoneware, white stoneware, mid range porcelain, and commercially made glazes, underglazes, and stains, but I am willing to expand my range of materials depending on the request.

Orders can be requested by email by filling out this contact form.

Once you message me with your request, I will respond usually within a few hours with a cursory Yes/No if I'm willing to accept the project. If the items that are being ordered are to be designed custom, there will be a non-refunable downpayment for a product testing phase before the final bulk order is placed. If the item is a copy of an existing product, or extremely similar to an existing product, the testing phase may be skipped. After a design agreement has been made, I will calculate a quote with estimated shipping cost (and sales tax if applicable). Then, I will send the first of two Square invoices with relevant information for the buyer to place the order. Once the invoice has been paid for, I will request the rest of the buyer’s address so that I have it on file once the order is complete, and optional phone number for ease of communication (through text), and I will begin the project as soon as possible. I may check in with updates and/or progress pictures throughout the making process to make sure the order meets expectations. Once the order is finished, I will calculate the exact shipping cost, and send the second invoice with shipping included. Once that has been paid for, the order will be shipped as soon as possible.

PRICING:

  • Orders will be priced based on the item, and quantity.

  • Orders must be paid for in two payments. I will not begin making the order until I receive the first payment, and I will not ship the order until I recieve the second.

  • The minimum wholesale bulk order must be at least 30 pieces and come out to at least $500 before shipping. Lower quanity or budget orders will still be accepted, but will be consitered a normal commission and receive my standard pricing. Rates depend on the item. Please email me for more information.

  • If you are selling in the U.S., a resale certificate/resellers lisence, and/or sales tax permit must be provided in order to waive sales tax on your purchace.

SHIPPING:

  • Shipping will be charged in a separate invoice once production has been completed, and I have the exact shipping cost, however, I will provide an estimate with the quote. The buyer may request which carrier the order is shipped with.

  • I must recieve the shipping payment before the item is shipped out. If the retailer fails to pay before the agreed upon shipping deadline, any delays are the responsibility of the buyer.

  • For large orders, local/semi-local buyers may request to pick up the item/meet in the middle for hand delivery and shipping cost will be subtracted/refunded from the price. Special cases will be discussed before order confirmation.

  • All items will be thoroughly wrapped in honeycomb paper, and securely packed into a paper padded kraft mailer, or single walled kraft corrugated box with reused plastic, kraft, or newsprint paper packaging on each side, until the item can be shook without any sound or movement, and you cannot feel the hard ceramic item beneath.

  • As the seller, I cannot take responsibility for shipping issues/delays once the package is in the hands of the carrier.

TIMEFRAME:

  • The amount of time it may take for the item to get to you, between forming, drying, glazing and firing and any potential material testing could range greatly depending on the item. Please email me for more information.

  • Deadlines will be discussed before the order is confirmed.

  • If I message the buyer with a question regarding the orders progress, and do not receive an answer within five business days, I will proceed of my own accord.

  • Cancelled custom orders will not get thier product testing deposit back unless the project is cancelled before the testing has begun. The buyer will not get the first part of the final custom order payment (or 50% of the single payment) back if the order is called off after the work has been irreversibly customized and/or fired.

  • Order cancellations will be accepted on bulk orders of my own existing designs any time before the order has shipped. If the order signifigantly exceeded the minimum to qualify as a wholesale order, and the cancellation is placed after production has started, there will be a 10% fee deducted from the refund.

  • Returns and exchanges will not be accepted on custom projects after the order has shipped.

OTHER:

  • The buyer cannot resell my own existing designs for less than the listed retail price for that item on my own shop. I will disguss this with the buyer before the order is placed.

  • All listings, shelves, price tags and marketing of my items must have "L Wallace Ceramics" visible somewhere.

  • All items will have my perminent watermark and website on the bottom of the piece which cannot be removed or obscured. If you would like to add your business info somewhere on the pieces as well, please let me know in your request.

  • I will only sell to genuine online or brick and morter stores/shops that openly exibit values that do not clash with my own, and are not in direct competition with my own shop on Etsy. I will only sell custom designed orders to other Etsy sellers.

  • As is true with all handmade goods, some items may come with small unavoidable flaws such as small dark flecks in a light colored glaze, mild warping etc. Orders will go through a thorough quality checking process to weed out difficult to sell pieces. If there are any glaring issues, I will message the buyer to reach a conclusion.
